The story begins shortly after Jak is captured by the Krimson Guard in Jak II.
Daxter decides to search for him on his own in the futuristic city of Haven City.
To earn money and gain undetected access to the city, Daxter takes a job as a pest control officer. While exterminating insects with his electric fly swatter, he gets involved in all sorts of adventures—and slowly gets closer to freeing Jak.
